Romeo will be represented in the 2010 State Bowling Finals in Battle Creek!!

Romeo Girls varsity athletes Alicia Harbin, Kaylla Koster and Shannon Kelley all qualified for the Michigan State Finals.  Each finished in the top 10 in Region 6 singles completion this past Saturday.  Alicia’s six-game total of 1112 placed her 3rd. Kaylla’s total of 1111 placed her 4th. Shannon’s total of 1100 placed her 5th.

RHS Bowling History:

Romeo High School Bowling started as a club in 1999.  We had 15 boys and only bowled within the club.  In 2000, we joined the Southeast Michigan High School Bowling Conference (SMHSBC) and competed against varsity and junior varsity teams from other schools. 

The High School Teams, both boys and girls varsity and junior varsity teams, remained part of SMHSBC until December 2002 when the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) finally recognized bowling as a varsity sport.

Romeo High School Bowling Team participates in the Greater Detroit Northeast Conference of the Southeastern Michigan High School Division.  This division includes teams from Eisenhower, Stevenson, Henry Ford, L’Anse Creuse North and Utica.

This season, the Bulldog’s home center is Avon North Hill Lanes in Rochester.
